English 1101: English Composition-This dual enrollment course fills an English elective credit for high school graduation AND a university credit through Idaho State University. Tuition cost is about half of regular on-campus college coursework. More information will be provided when available. Students who wish to take any ISU credit will need have an ACT score of 18 or higher, OR SAT subscore of 26-31 on the Writing and Language portion.

Download the Literary Devices List Divide the devices, assigning each student the same number of devices. 1)Define each device 2) Create a visual/poster for each device 3) Identify an example in a piece of music or movie clip to share 4)Identify an example in a piece of literature to share Come prepared to share your devices on the third or fourth day of class. Day One Homework: Apply for ECP and Order your Book Day Two Homework: Please read Raymond Carver's Cathedral. It is also in your textbook on page 28. We will discuss it on the third day of class. The second reading assignment, if you do not have your book yet is Guy de Maupassant's A Piece of String. |
